Geo Group, which runs the Mesa Verde ICE Processing Center in Bakersfield has requested amending the permits for its Golden State and Central Valley facilities to be re-purposed to house federal inmates and detainees.

A presentation on the proposed changes will be heard at Tuesday's meeting, which will take place at 6 p.m. at the city council chambers of the McFarland Veterans Community Center located on West Sherwood Avenue.
