BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On Friday, February 1, officers with the Kern County Probation Department Gang Intervention and Suppression team conducted a search near 8000 Pioneer Drive.
During the probation search, officers located a .38 super caliber semi-automatic handgun, multiple live rounds of ammunition and a controlled substance.
During the course of the investigation, officers contacted a 17-year-old juvenile on probation.
According to the Kern County Probation Department, he was subsequently arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall for possession of a firearm, ammunition, illegally possessing prescription medication and criminal street gang related charges.
