A Lamont woman will spend two years in prison after crashing into the back of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol on December 26, 2015.

Holly Condit crashed her SUV into another vehicle on Old River Road near Panama Lane.

The prosecution says that her blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit at the time of the crash. Beer cans were found at the scene of the accident.

Condit had two children in the backseat at the time of the crash, a 4-year-old and a 7 year-old.

This was Condit's third arrest for a DUI.

The victim in the crash suffered bruises to her legs and continues to have numbness in her feet.

Condit had pleaded no contest to causing bodily injury while driving under the influence of alcohol and willful cruelty to a child earlier this month.

Condit's attorney argued that she was grieving from a family tragedy at the time of the crash. The prosecution said that wasn't enough of a reason to warrant Condit receiving parole instead of jail time.

"She decided to turn to alcohol and that's one thing," said Brad Taconi, the deputy district attorney who prosecuted Condit.

"But when she got behind the wheel with her children in the car, she takes it to a whole 'nother level. You can't endanger the lives of your children and everyone out on the public streets while you're grieving."
