BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Wednesday night families, friends, and local supporters will gather to welcome home 100 local veterans from an emotional trip they will always remember. Kern County Honor Flight number 41 is scheduled to return from Washington D.C. Wednesday tonight at Meadows Field Airport at 8 p.m.

Those 100 veterans on this trip defended our country during the Vietnam War. They got the chance to visit several memorials that were built in their honor.

The public is encouraged to attend and help welcome the veterans home. Bring your banners and posters, and kids are welcome to attend.

Event organizers say there will be free parking in a designated parking area only. Those attending just have to follow the signs for the parking.
