Public Health, NOR and Supervisor Maggard looking to improve park safety

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kern County Public Health Services, Supervisor Mike Maggard and North of the River Recreation and Park District are looking to improve the community by creating safer and healthier parks.

To do so, Public Health, Supervisor Maggard, and NOR are asking the community to come out to press conference at Standard Park in Oildale on Jan. 31.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office will also be in attendance to discuss safety issues.

The community is invited to attend and learn how they can get involved.

The press conference will begin at 2 p.m.
