Last week the Environmental Impact Report for the Fresno to Bakersfield portion of the high speed rail was released, prompting a public hearing meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 19th. 

The meeting will be held at the Marriott Hotel in Bakersfield at 3 p.m. 

The release of the report begins a 60-day comment period, which will end on Jan. 16th. 

The document completes the 2014 final environmental impact report, with a focus on the alignment between Poplar Avenue and the proposed station in Bakersfield.
