An 18-year-old escaped work-release participant in Louisiana led police on a chase that ultimately ended in a dramatic crash, KSLA-TV in Louisiana reported.
The chase happened when the pickup truck was pulled over along the highway Tuesday afternoon. The passenger slid into the driver’s seat and took off while the deputy spoke with the driver outside the vehicle.
The pickup hit spike strips set along the highway in Webster Parish. The truck went airborne and landed on top of a car parked in a restaurant parking lot.
No one was injured and the driver was taken in to custody.
