The annual leaf collection program, which is run by The City of Bakersfield Streets Division is gearing back up for the season. In the program the streets division picks up leaves on city streets. The program runs between October 16, 2017 and February 2018. 

During this time frame city residents can rake up their leaves onto the curb or near their gutters and the streets division will pick them up. 

The division asks that those who want their leaves to be raked up place them at least 24 inches from the curb since there has to be enough room for the equipment to be able to pick up the leaves.
