BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A closure on Real Road has been rescheduled to February 19 because of weather. The road was going to be closed due to construction on Centennial Corridor as part of the Bakersfield Freeway Connector project. This project will build an auxiliary lane on westbound State Route 58, widen the bridge across State Route 99, and construct an off-ramp from southbound State Route 99 to Ming Avenue.
The permanent closure on State Route 58 and to southbound State Route 99 at Real Road is now expected to take place the night of February 21, 2019.
Real Road will remain open to both northbound and southbound traffic.
