BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A drive-thru celebration is being held for cancer survivors on Saturday in the parking lot of Westside Church of Christ.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the back parking lot of the church.

Any cancer survivor is welcomed to the drive-thru to receive a t-shirt and survivor pin.

The American Cancer Society has been hurting for funds amid the pandemic. The local chapter says it is $600,000 short of its usual fundraising pace.

Westside Church of Christ is located at 7300 Stockdale Hwy.
