Taft College is celebrating the school's top students this Saturday. 

The 2018 Taft College Grad Summit will be held at Seven Oaks Country Club on May 12. 

Congressman and Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy is confirmed as a speaker at the summit.

The event is invitation only and guests include 100 of Taft College's top GPA graduating STEM students, local industry and academic leaders, community organization experts and more. 

Organizers say the purpose of the event is to introduce the invitees to inspirational mentors, alumni, business and industry partners.

The evening begins at 4:30 p.m. and the formal program starts at 5:45 p.m.
