BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Rep. TJ Cox has been named to the Natural Resources Subcommittee on Water, Oceans and Wildlife in addition to the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations.
Cox has released a statement on being named to the subcommittees.
"I am honored by the faith placed in me by my colleagues in naming me to these subcommittees. I have been clear from the beginning that I will always work to protect and enhance the Central Valley's access to clean drinking water, and this post will allow me to do just that. "
"I am also proud to be named, as a freshman, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. This Administration has waged an all-out assault on California's water and coastlines, air, and forests. We were elected to restore accountability to Washington, and as Chairman of this important subcommittee, I will work tirelessly to fulfill that promise."
