BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Rescue crews are searching for a 50-year-old Hispanic man who went missing in the Kern River Saturday night.
According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, the man went into the river at about 7 p.m. near the Cow Flat area, a location about halfway between Bakersfield and Kernville.
The man was last scene wearing a black shirt and blue pants, according to KCSO.
Crews will be halting the search once daylight becomes an issue and continue the search in the morning hours, according to KCSO.
