Residents of Taft continue to be baffled by things going boom in the night.

23 ABC has received multiple calls from concerned residents as early as two weeks ago and as recently as Sunday regarding loud booming noises in the greater Taft area.

Callers have said they have specifically heard the sounds in Ford City, just north of Taft, and have reportedly heard them early in the morning and late at night.

When reached for comment, the City of Taft said they are aware of the noises but do not currently know what the cause is.
