23ABC viewers in the West Bakersfield area contacted our newsroom on Saturday morning. telling us they could smell natural gas odor as far as Commercial Way and Truxtun Ave.

PG&E officials tell 23ABC that they received calls at around 8am of residents reporting a strong odor of natural gas in the area.
PG&E officials added they are investigating the incident with their gas service representatives.
Its unknown at this time what is the cause of the odor.
