Cal State Bakersfield is now on the map after the buzzer beater shot over the weekend, sending the Roadrunners to the big dance for the first time in program history.

After the outpouring of support from fans over the weekend, local business owners are now getting ready to host watch parties for Friday’s CSUB men's basketball game.

Some businesses are offering food and drink specials during the game and if the Roadrunners pull of the upset, they’re offering to pay your food.

"If Cal State wins we're going to buy their lunch, whoever comes in we're going to buy your lunch,” said Mike Earhart, co-owner of Wiki’s Dive and Grill.

Other restaurants will also be paying your food if CSUB wins, but only if you're wearing blue and gold.

"They have to be wearing CSUB apparel or jerseys," said Ricardo Simpson, manager at Firestone Grill.

As the excitement grows, the restaurants are staffing up to deal with the crowds on Friday and are hoping the Runners move on to the round of 32.

The Bakersfield Roadrunners play the Oklahoma Sooners on Friday at 1 p.m.
