Results from BPD overnight DUI checkpoint

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department has released the results of its latest DUI and drivers license checkpoint from overnight Saturday.

During the checkpoint 241 vehicles were screened. Four drivers were detained to determine their sobriety level.

No arrests were made for driving under the influence according to police.

One driver was cited for driving while unlicensed and three others were found to be driving on a suspended license.

BPD encourages the public to help keep the roadways safe by calling 9-1-1 if you see a suspected impaired driver
