BAKESFIELD, Calif. — A retired member of the Bakersfield Police Department has died. Retired officer Sean Underhill joined the BPD in 1995 as a transportation officer.

During his time with the department, he worked in several areas of the including patrol, traffic, special enforcement unit, and was also a member of the crisis negotiations team. He retired from the BPD in 2017.

Underhill passed away on Saturday, October 5th.
