Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood is calling the facility the best in the state.

The ribbon-cutting for the $126.7 million state-of-the-art jail was at Kern County Jail - Lerdo at 10 a.m.

Inmates are expected to move into the medium to maximum facility on Saturday.
