Ridgeview High School band trailer is recovered after it was stolen from school grounds

UPDATE (April 4, 10:03 a.m.)

Bakersfield Police Department says there is a possible suspect and is working on getting them in custody soon.

A second stolen trailer was also recovered.

While searching the location where the trailers were found, BPD found a person they say had a misdemeanor warrant for their arrest. That person was taken into custody, but is not connected to the trailer thefts.

 

The names on any suspects or the individual who was arrested have not been released yet.

UPDATE (April 4, 8:32a.m.) The Kern High School District confirms that the Ridgeview trailer has been recovered.

Lisa Krch, the public information officer for KHSD, didn't have any further details regarding the condition of the trailer or where it was found.

Ridgeview High School's band trailer was stolen from school grounds on March 24th. 

The trailer is used for transporting uniforms and instruments to competitions. 

The school is working to get a replacement trailer. 

Bakersfield Police Department is investigating. 

The trailer is a 1996 Wells Cargo, 2-axle box-style trailer. It is 26 feet long and its license plate number is 947063.
