BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Ridgeview High School has named a new head football coach.

Rich Cornford was named the new head coach during a meeting with student-athletes this morning. Cornford previously coached for West High School for seven years and Frontier High School for nine years. Cornford has been part of the Ridgeview staff since 2017.

Dennis Manning had been Ridgeview's head coach since 2009. He will remain with Ridgeview as a coordinator for Cornford and Ridgeview Athletics. Under Manning, Ridgeview won nine league championships and made six consecutive appearances in the Central Section finals, winning three valley championships.
