Bakersfield Police Department officials have taken one person into custody after a burglary in an residential area.
BPD officials said that they were chasing the burglary suspect from a residence in the 4400 block of Idlerock Avenue.
At this point a foot pursuit initiated, the suspect is now under police custody.
Kern High School District says that Ridgeview High School was put on lockdown by the Bakersfield Police Department at 10:00 this morning.
Lockdown was lifted at 10:09 am.
Kids Country Pre-school, and Panama Elementary were also locked down for about fifteen minutes.
