BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The section of Eye Street between 22nd and 23rd Street will be closed starting Tuesday, June 11. This will be an around-the-clock closure and will affect both directions of traffic, according to the Thomas Roads Improvement Program.
The closure is needed for utility and drainage work for the 24th Street Improvement Project, and is expected to remain in place through June 19. Drivers can detour around the closure by using H Street.
The Program asks that drivers, "Please slow down and watch for construction workers and equipment while driving through the work zone." The Thomas Roads Improvement Program also apologizes for any inconvenience this work may cause the traveling public.
