Beginning the week of April 10th, 2017, the City of Bakersfield will begin a project to reconstruct the roadway on Wilson Road from Wible Road to South H Street.

During the reconstruction of the roadway, traffic will be reduced down to one lane in each direction.  In addition, access to side streets may be affected, while driveways will be closed only for the period of time that reconstruction is occurring in these areas.  Detours and alternate access points will be provided during these closure periods.  This will result in traffic delays, so drivers are advised to use caution and to take alternate routes or allow extra travel time through this area.

All work on this project is scheduled to be complete in June 2017.   The City thanks the public for their patience during the construction of these improvements.
