Traffic is now moving on the 178 after eight large rocks blocked lanes Friday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, rocks about the size of tires blocked the east and westbound lanes of the 178 at Kern River Canyon Road. 

Fire crews were able to remove the rocks.
