A woman is dead after a rollover crash in southwest Bakersfield on Sunday.

It happened around 8 P.M. Sunday on Young and Crippen Streets, near the Grace Bible Church of Bakersfield.

Bakersfield Police say a maroon Chevy and a white Lexus were involved in the crash. An adult female, who was driving the Lexus, sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital where she later died.

The Coroner's Office has identified the victim as 70-year-old Jane Elizabeth Mulligan of Bakersfield.

The driver of the Chevy, an adult male was transported to a local hospital for complaint of pain.

At this time it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol were involved.

The crash is still under investigation.
