Rosedale Middle School Band is growing and seeking financial help and donations to support their future musicians.

The band will be hosting a $5 car wash October 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rosedale Middle School (12463 Rosedale Highway).

The group is hoping the donations will allow for additional instruments in the music program and help aid students in reaching their goal of a trip to Disneyland and Universal Studios to perform.

Donated instruments are also being accepted. The band is in need of 20 trumpets, 9 trombones and 9 saxophones.

In a letter from the principal and band director to supporters, it states, "in addition to their musical and fundraising endeavors, students in the music program are required to keep their grades up and to participate in practices, performances, and competitions. They sacrifice their free time because they believe in and receive benefits from being involved in music."

If you would like to see the band perform, they have a concert on Thursday, October 11, at 6:00 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at Rosedale Middle School.
