Rubber Duck Race for Kern Valley Exchange Club

Posted

Rub a dub dub, 1,000 duckies in the Kern River?! The Rubber Duck Race is hitting Riverside Park on Saturday to raise money for Kern Valley Exchange Club.

The race is conducted by putting duckies with numbers on them in the river and the one that gets to the finish line first wins! Whoever bought the duck with that number gets the grand prize.

It is $25 to buy a duck for the chance to win. You can win money for first, second, and third place. The proceeds help create scholarships and community programs for youth.

If you don't want to participate in the race, there is food, games, and fun to enjoy!

The event begins at 10 a.m. with the race starting at 1 p.m. lasting about six minutes.
