BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The owner of a car had a close call with several horses Monday night after the animals got loose on Brimhall Rd near Verdugo in Bakersfield.

One or more of the horses clipped the vehicle causing damage to the side of the car.

The Bakersfield Police Department was called out and "escorted" the animals back to another location.
