BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — In addition to feeding first responders in Ridgecrest over the weekend, Salty's BBQ has found another way to give back to a community in need.

On Thursday, the restaurant will be hosting a special "Ridgecrest Strong" night at their Southwest location at 6801 White Lane, Bakersfield 93309.

Salty's BBQ says it's collecting items needed by those impacted by last week's earthquakes. They're hoping to collect these items below:

• Non-perishable canned food

• Toiletries (toilet paper, wipes)

• Baby food

• Diapers

• Batteries (for flash lights and other electronics)

• Bottled water

• Personal hygiene

• Pet food

• Disinfecting wipes and cleaning supplies

• Dust masks and work gloves to clear away rubble

The restaurant says they'll be delivering these items this week after collecting the donations Thursday night.
