Salvation Army hosts 14th annual deep-pit fundraiser benefitting summer camps

The Salvation Army is hosting the 14th annual deep-pit fundraiser on Friday.

Proceeds raised at the fundraiser benefit summer camps for children. 

The event is sponsored by Mossman's Coffee Shops and Catering Company. 

Mossman's deep-pit lunch is being sold for $10 and includes deep-pit on a roll, three-bean salad, chips and a cookie. 

Business who would like to order Mossman's deep-pit lunch can receive free delivery in Bakersfield if they order 10 or more lunches. 

Lunch pick-ups will be at First Presbyterian Church located at 1705 17th St. between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. 

Proceeds will go to ensuring children experience a camping adventure locally or overnight in the Scotts Valley Foothills.

Children will enjoy games, field trips, crafts, swimming, hiking, team building workshops, music instruction and more.
