CAPAY VALLEY, Calif. — Wildfire season is here as the sand fire exploded over the weekend reaching over a thousand acres in less than four hours on Saturday.
The blaze began in the Capay Valley and has since spread across over 2,200 acres in Yolo County.
Fire crews rushing to get ahead of the flames with containment now at 20 percent. Debris and dead trees are steadily being removed in hopes of stopping the fire from spreading. Evacuations were ordered for all residents on County Road 41.
So far no injuries have been reported in this inferno
