Parents of students at Sandrini Elementary School in Southwest Bakersfield are being notified to check the whereabouts of their children after unsubstantiated reports of a girl seen pulled into a van on Wednesday.
The situation began at around 1:15 p.m., when some students reported seeing a young girl, roughly between the ages of four years old and eight years old, being pulled into a gray van on Dovewood Street, on the west side of the campus, according to Panama-Buena Vista Union School District Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services Gerrie Kincaid.
As a precaution, district officials notified Bakersfield Police officers, who are investigating the situation.
The district is also calling parents to make sure they can account for all children.
