Save Mart Supermarket stores in California and Northern Nevada started collecting monetary donations for the American Red Cross relief efforts helping fire victims in California.
Shoppers can donate any amount at all 83 of their locations. The donation will be printed on the receipt for tax deduction purposes.
Cash donations will be accepted through Oct. 17. Save Mart is also working to fulfill requests for food and water donations.
When the supermarket chain teamed up with the Red Cross to help aid Hurricane Harvey victims, they were able to raise $84,000 in nine days.
