Members from Bakersfield City, Wasco Union Elementary, and Kern High School Districts met to speak with voters Monday on Prop 51, an item on the November ballot.

Their mission was to encourage voters this November to vote yes on Prop 51.

Prop 51 would increase funds given to school districts across the state, including Kern County. It would also give schools money for much needed improvements.

People against the measure say it’s unaffordable and unaccountable.
