Karl F. Clemens Elementary School in Wasco hosted a poster contest this morning, Friday October 27, 2017 to promote a drug and bully free environment at the school.

Students in kindergarten through sixth grade participated in the poster contest on the last day of red ribbon week, which is a week dedicated to promoting a drug free school.

The posters were judged as bully free, drug free or both. Judges in the contest judged the posters based on creativity, neatness, color, theme, originality, and student participation.

Kern County Fire Department personnel, Kern County Sheriff's Office personnel, members of the school district office and 23ABC's Jessica Harrington were all judges for the contest.

The classroom that wins the contest will receive a prize.
