For the first time in two years, the Scripps National Spelling Bee will hold a live in-person competition.

The Scripps National Spelling Bee announcing Monday morning that it will hold an in-person live final from ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex at Disney World in Orlando in July.

The National Spelling Bee canceled its in person finals last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. The competition's finals are typically held near Washington, D.C. in the spring.

This year's in-person final will be limited to 10-12 finalists. Earlier rounds for the Spelling Bee will be held virtually.
