Two separate river rescues caught on camera show the potential perils the Kern River poses this year.

In one video, a group of experienced rafters spring to the rescue to save a Boy Scout after he was swept away by the current. The rescue took place during Memorial Day weekend.

A second rescue captured by 23ABC shows a woman being pulled to safety near Hart Park on Saturday.

Search and rescue continues to search in two areas along the Kern River, with one search for a missing person continuing at Hart Park after the man disappeared Saturday. A second search is being conducted near Sandy Flat for a potential body in the water after a tour rafting company told authorities they saw it this weekend.
