The Bakersfield Police Department executed a search warrant Saturday evening in east Bakersfield.
Officials said it was around 8:00 p.m. when they searched a residence near Clyde St. and Texas St.
During the search officers found a firearm, currency and suspected narcotics.
As a result of the investigation, Augustine James, 44, of Bakersfield was arrested for narcotics sales, firearm, and gang related charges.
