Officials with Sears Holdings announced on Thursday that the company will close 68 Kmart and 10 Sears stores nationwide this summer.
One of the stores closing includes a Wasco Kmart located on the 2700 block of Highway 46.
"The decision to close stores is a difficult but necessary step as we take aggressive actions to strengthen our company, fund our transformation and restore Sears Holdings to profitability," said Edward S. Lampert, CEO of Sears Holdings.
Lampert added that they are focusing on their best members, their best categories and their best stores as they work to accelerate their transformation.
Officials say customers can use the store locator function on their web sites to find the location of their nearest Kmart and Sears stores.
The closing Kmart and Sears stores will start their liquidation sales on May 12 and April 29, respectively.
Officials said some stores will close in Mid- September and the rest in late July.
