The Arts Council of Kern is starting the second phase of the Statue of Liberty Mural in Downtown Bakersfield.

The second phase will begin Saturday, November 5 with three 13 foot soldiers from the Vietnam Memorial as the first portion of the completed in time for next week’s Veteran’s Parade.

The project was originally done before last year’s Veteran’s Parade. The mural was done with local artist Thomas Zachery.
