All lanes of southbound Highway 99 near State Route 46 have reopened after a crash involving a semi truck hauling crates full of chickens.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of the big rig lost control of the truck around 1 a.m. Thursday causing the trailer to detach.
The driver of a Geo Metro crashed into the trailer and was taken to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
No word on where the truck was headed.
