Seven displaced, one dog dead after fire in California City

Seven people, including three children, have been displaced and one dog has died following a fire in California City.

California City Fire Rescue received a report of a vehicle fire near 267 Desert Breeze Drive Monday around 4:20p.m.

Firefighters found two mobile homes and a vehicle engulfed in flames and contained it to those original structures. The structures were completely destroyed.

The firefighters dealt with gusty winds, but contained the flames in 90 minutes.

A dog was found dead in one of the homes.

No one was injured. The fire is under investigation by CCFR.
