The Flying J Travel Center on Zachary Road north of Bakersfield is temporarily closed due to a sewage problem, officials with the business said Tuesday.

A manager at the business said the business was closed due to a safety issue and that corporate and county health officials had been notified.

In the meantime, vehicles may not be able to fuel up or use accommodations at the business.

The Flying J is located at 17047 Zachary Avenue, off of Highway 99 at the Merced Avenue exit, about halfway between Bakersfield and McFarland.
