SHAFTER, Calif. — On Tuesday, the Shafter City Council unanimously voted yes to adding "In God We Trust" decals to their police cars.

This move comes after Delano and Bakersfield have considered adding decals. In April, Delano adopted adding those same decal stickers to their police cars.

However at the last city council meeting, Shafter officials received some push-back from the public, saying they feel it is an infringement on their First Amendment right of separation between church and state.
