BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The ShePower Leadership Academy has partnered with the Kern Medical Foundation in collaboration with Kern County to launch the SheHelps Pants Drive for the Kern Medical Emergency Department.

The drive which runs until April 30 is seeking clothing items, particularly pants to help clothe patients in need.

There are collection sites at every Kern County Library location.

“Our Emergency Department relies on your donations to make sure patients are clothed and comfortable while receiving treatment.” says Kern Medical Foundation Executive Director Erica Easton. “Whether you are a trauma patient and your clothing was damaged in an accident, or you are simply a patient in need of a fresh change of clothes it is our mission to ensure all we serve are fully accommodated and treated with the highest level of compassion while in our care.”
