Sherpa Fire in Santa Barbara has grown to 4,000 acres

Fire officials say the wildfire growing in Santa Barbara County has now grown go 4,000 acres.

Early Friday morning the fire was reported at covering just 1,400 acres. New numbers just released by fire officials say that fire has nearly tripled in size. The fire is only 5-percent contained. 

The Sherpa Fire, as it's being called, has led to evacuations and highway closures in the area.

That fire has been burning since Wednesday afternoon.
