BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A shooting in East Bakersfield injured two people, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

Officers responded to a shotspotter activation at about 4:55 p.m., but did not locate any victims.

During the investigation, officers learned that two victims were transported to a local hospital with gunshot wounds.

The only information BPD would provide about the victims is that they are adults with minor injuries.

There is no suspect information at this time.
