Shooting in Lamont leaves one man in critical condition Sunday morning

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A shooting in Lamont left one man with major injuries Sunday morning.

According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, two men were arguing with each other in the 10900 block of San Fernando Street, before one of them shot the other at about 8:30 a.m.

When deputies arrived on scene, they located the victim with a gunshot wound to his arm and chest.

The man was taken to Kern Medical and is listed in critical condition, but is expected to survive.

KCSO is searching for a Hispanic man who drove away after the shooting.

There is no vehicle description at this time.
