Shooting in south Bakersfield leaves one man in serious condition

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Friday December 14, at approximately 9:40 .p.m., Kern County Sheriff deputies responded to a shooting in south Bakersfield.

Deputies were dispatched to the 4200 block of Kenny Street for a person who had been shot.

When deputies arrived, they found a man, suffering from traumatic injuries to his body. The man was taken to an area hospital in serious condition.

Homicide Detectives were called to the scene and took over the investigation.
